More properties in Ohio have been recognized for their value as historic resources and, in many cases, potential for preservation-based development.

The National Register of Historic Places provides recognition of a property’s value to state and/or local history, a limited degree of protection against federal undertakings, and a set of opportunities for financial assistance for restoration and rehabilitation projects.
