For the first time in several years, I will be attending the Heritage Ohio Annual Conference, taking place the first week of October in downtown Toledo.

When I first started with PO, the state’s preservation organizations and the Ohio Historic Preservation Office joined with the Ohio Historical Society in putting on a statewide preservation conference. That event has not taken place in over a decade.

I have been at one HO Annual Conference, which took place at Ohio University in Athens. This year, I was invited to attend by the new HO Executive Director, Matt Wiederhold, and I am very much looking forward to doing so.

I am very fond of downtown Toledo and have always found it to be a place full of potential and promise. It will be nice to visit there again and to see the work of ConnecToledo in person.
