Over two years ago, Preservation Ohio introduced Banking On The Past – Small to Mid-Sized Project Edition, a resource designed to connect property owners and preservation advocates with financial incentives for historic preservation projects that don’t require multi-million-dollar investments.
This tool is especially valuable for preservation organizations, downtown advocates, and property owners in Ohio’s smaller communities. However, it also includes modest projects in some of the state’s larger cities—demonstrating that impactful preservation doesn’t always require massive budgets.
Now, we’re revamping Banking On The Past for a fresh release this spring! As we prepare for the update, we’re sharing an updated list of Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit projects that have received grant awards, featuring the latest details from the Ohio Department of Development.
Interested in learning more? We encourage you to contact local officials for project-specific information and insights into how these incentives can support preservation in your community. Stay tuned for the re-release and even more resources to bring your historic property back to life!
